REDOUTÉ II CANDLESTICKS
In the studio of two artists, Sarah Wiesner Ceramics & Antoine DARIULE, a composition was born: the Redouté candlesticks, where sculpted porcelain, like a floral collar, blends harmoniously with faceted brass.
This duo of candlesticks embodies the perfect union between the delicacy of porcelain and the strength of brass.
An alliance of know-how for the creation of an art object that is both practical and decorative.
Sarah Wiesner Ceramics’ skilfully modeled porcelain unfurls in the form of a floral collar evoking the grace and elegance of nature. The hand-carved details on each piece seem to capture the fleeting beauty of flowers in full bloom. Porcelain, like a delicate floral ornament, becomes much more than a simple material: it becomes a work of art in its own right.
Brass, worked by Antoine DARIULE, brings a touch of sophistication and brilliance to the whole.
The polished or matt facets reflect the light in a hypnotic way, creating a play of reflections that dance around the candleholders.
Each material bears the signature of its artist.
Redouté candleholders take their name from the famous 18th-century painter Pierre-Joseph Redouté, renowned for his still lifes and flower studies.
Often dubbed ” the Raphael of flowers “, he captured their delicate, living beauty with remarkable precision.
