MURAT NAPKIN RING

Small everyday object for elegant tables
With a shape inspired by the 18th century, it is made of leather that is patinated or dyed in the mass. It bears the name “Murat” which was a house of goldsmiths from 1884 until the beginning of the 20th century. House that produced many table services and napkin rings.
On these napkin rings, a few words… like a nickname, a fun nod to associate with your guests, which signs the beginnings of a good time.

IN PATINA VERSION
Made from cowhide leather from the Dupuy tannery specially designed to create patinas. It is split and then cut to shape.
It is then skated . This consists of coloring and bleaching the leather by applying solvents and dyes.
So I give the impression that the leather has lived by creating shades of color. This technique makes it possible to obtain a unique object full of charm.
GOLD MARKING
The marking is carried out with a hot press: the composter fitted with bronze letters is pressed against the leather. Previously we slipped between the two a gold leaf.

OR DECLINED WITH COLORS
DYED IN THE MASS
For the first collection the 6 markings are:
- darling daddy
- beloved mom
- The good life
- The artist
- The masterpiece
- The dazzling
The installation of a small golden brass clasp perfects the napkin rings.
